Colorado Thunderbirds Midget Minor forward Mikey Eyssimont announced via his Twitter account tonight that he had verbally committed to play his college hockey for St. Cloud State.

Eyssimont is a '96 born forward that led the Tier I Elite AAA league in scoring this year by a considerable margin, with 48 goals and 43 assists in 40 games, nine points clear of the next highest scorer. The next highest goal scorer in the league was teammate Mitch Fossier with only 32 goals.

Eyssimont is a smaller, skinny forward, that possess a surprisingly heavy shot, which makes him such an effective goal scorer. He was a Futures pick of the Fargo Force of the USHL last year. He is the type of offense-first high skill player that St. Cloud seems to prefer, and should be an effective player for the Huskies.
