Ryan MacInnis and the Kitchener Rangers finally made the worst kept secret in junior hockey official. The former US National Team Development Program left shot center will play in the OHL this upcoming season.
The son of NHL legend and Hall of Famer Al MacInnis, Ryan had not committed to play college hockey, but there was some possibility he would take the NCAA route until this summer. His father played 20 seasons in the NHL for the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues. The younger MacInnis has prototypical NHL size, standing tall at six-feet-three at just 17 years-old.
