A historic blizzard to impact the entire region is expected to result in postponements in Hockey East.

With a historic blizzard predicted across much of southern New England for Friday into Saturday morning, some Hockey East games are sure to be affected.

Friday's Northeastern at UMass game has been postponed until Tuesday, February 19th. Other games will most likely be postponed, as well.

The New Hampshire at Providence game has been postponed until Wednesday, February 13th.

Merrimack's game at Boston University will have to be rescheduled mid-week, as well, since neither team has a mutual open date on Friday or Saturday for the rest of the season.

There are rumors that UMass-Lowell's game at Boston College will be moved back a day as both teams are off Saturday and Conte Forum is available until Sunday.

UPDATE: Merrimack-BU and UML-BC games will both be played on Tuesday, February 26th. UMass at Merrimack game scheduled for Saturday will now be played at 4:00 on Sunday. The game was originally scheduled to be broadcast on NESN. It will no longer be televised.
