Clayton Keller, a 1998-born forward that was the leading scorer on last year's Shattuck-St. Mary's Bantam team announced today via Twitter that he has committed to Boston University:
Proud to announce that I have committed to Boston University for my college hockey career #goterriers

Keller is a small, shifty playmaker with incredible vision and passing ability. He tallied 58 goals and 71 assists for 129 points in 60 games for the Sabres last season. Originally from Swansea, Illinois, Keller is a smaller forward, currently standing roughly 5'7" or 5'8". Keller will return to Shattuck-St. Mary's for this upcoming season, but participated at the Indiana Ice tryout camp, where he was reportedly extremely impressive, making the camp all-star game.
It's a huge pick-up for the Terriers and new head coach David Quinn, in an area that BU isn't necessarily known for recruiting from. Keller is just entering the 10th grade this year, so he wouldn't join the Terriers until 2016 at the earliest, but it's a very positive sign for BU's long-term stability to lock up quality players like this.
Keller joins Shattuck bantam teammates Ryan Lindgren and Ryan Edquist, both of whom committed to Minnesota, in already making their college decisions.
