Avery Peterson, a 6-2 forward from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, has reportedly committed to play his college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
BREAKING: Senior forward Avery Peterson has committed to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha!

Peterson, a 6th round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild, is assumed to be joining Sioux City of the USHL rather than play his senior year of prep hockey. This assumption can be made due to the fact that Peterson is un-rostered in this year's Upper Midwest Elite Hockey League.
The 200lb forward buried 27 goals for 62 points in just 26 games last season with the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks, ending his season on an impressive 24-game point streak.
Peterson has developed into a very smart hockey player. With an outstanding ability to see the entire sheet of ice, Peterson can play aggressive when need-be, yet knows when to tone the intensity down.
