UMass-Lowell wins first regular season title

UMass-Lowell celebrates the school's first Hockey East Regular Season title.

UMass-Lowell became the first team outside of Boston College, Boston University, Maine and New Hampshire to win the Hockey East Regular Season Championship.

UMass-Lowell won the Hockey East Regular Season Championship with a 4-1 victory over Providence College. The River Hawks rebounded from a 3-0 defeat at home a night earlier.

Riley Wetmore, Josh Holmstrom, Scott Wilson and Christian Folin scored for the River Hawks and Connor Hellebuyck made over 30 saves in the victory.
