Mercyhurst defeated UConn 4-1 in the Atlantic Hockey Association's second semifinal Friday night at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. The Lakers will advance to the finals tomorrow where they will play Canisius College who upset the top-seeded Niagara Purple Eagles earlier in the night.
Mercyhurst defeated UConn 4-1 in the Atlantic Hockey Association's second semifinal Friday night at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. The Lakers will advance to the finals tomorrow where they will play Canisius College who upset the top-seeded Niagara Purple Eagles earlier in the night.
The result means the conference will get two berths in the NCAA Tournament that begins next Friday. Niagara is assured of a bid because of its lofty ranking in the Pairwise Rankings.
