Boston University and Boston College line up for the national anthem before tonight's semifinal
A wrist shot from a poor angle on the right side by Boston College junior Bill Arnold gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead after one period of play.
Boston College leads Boston University 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. On its third power play of the opening period, Boston College junior Bill Arnold broke down the right side and wristed a poor angle shot up high and into the back of the net. Steven Whitney and Johnny Gaudreau were credited with the assists.
The Eagles controlled the play for the most part. Boston College, playing without Head Coach Jerry York on the bench, outshot the Terriers 18-7.
The Terriers will look to erase the one-goal deficit in order to extend their season and the career of their head coach. Jack Parker announced his retirement two weeks ago after 40 years at the helm.
