Cory Conacher's former school, Canisius, upset Niagara in the AHA Tournament Friday - Bruce Bennett

Niagara's loss in Friday's Atlantic Hockey Association semifinal ensured the league two berths in the NCAA Tournament that begins next Friday.

The Atlantic Hockey Association's top seed, Niagara University, was bounced in the semifinals today by Canisius. The loss for the Purple Eagles will be the conference's gain as it will assure the league of two bids to the NCAA Tournament. Niagara will finish high enough in the Pairwise Rankings to ensure an at-large berth.

Niagara outshot the Golden Griffs by a wide margin, but couldn't avoid the upset. Sophomore forward Tyler Wiseman was the hero for Canius. The Burlington, Ontario native potted two goals and added an assist.
