The Orlando Solar Bears announced the signing of former Maine Black Bears forward Kyle Beattie to an amateur tryout contract.
Maine senior forward Kyle Beattie has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Orlando Solar Bears of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
The Avondale, Arizona native played four seasons with the Black Bears. He had to battle through several concussion issues. Beattie notched seven goals and six assists in 26 games played this season. For his career, he tallied 20 goals and 38 assists.
The Solar Bears are the ECHL affiliate for the Minnesota Wild (NHL) and the Houston Aeros (AHL).
