Maine will look to sweep the weekend series with a win tonight at Alfond Arena. The Black Bears could considerably improve their playoff positioning with a win tonight.
Northeastern will be playing for its narrow playoff hopes Saturday night at Alfond Arena as they take on Maine. The Huskies, already depleted going into the weekend, will be without freshman Mike McMurtry who suffered a concussion in the game Friday night. The lineup will be full of holes as sophomore defenseman Josh Manson will play up front on the top line with Vinny Saponari and Braden Pimm.
For Maine, the lineup personnel is much the same, but Jake Rutt will move back to offense and Bill Norman will move back to defense. The two are both blue liners by trade, but have spent time up front this season.
The goaltenders will be the same as Friday night with Chris Rawlings going for Northeastern and Martin Ouellette for Maine.
Maine enters the night tied for 8th place with UMass at 18 points while Northeastern sits in last place at 13 points.
