It's being reported today that Alabama-Huntsville will announce assistant coach Chris Luongo as the program's new head coach at a press conference later this afternoon.
Luongo is a Danton Cole disciple, so that's good for the program in terms of continuity, and given the timing of Cole's departure, UAH probably didn't have the opportunity to do an extensive national search. Luongo's name may not carry the same gravitas as Cole's, but he seems like a nice fit for UAH's program.
