The Boston Bruins have signed Ohio State sophomore defenseman Matt Bartkowski to an entry-level contract. Bartkowski is a very tough, defensive-minded defenseman. The Bruins traded for Bartkowski's rights at the trade deadline this year, so they obviously had some interest in him.

Bartkowski is the third Buckeye to leave school early for the pros this summer, which could make new head coach Mark Osiecki's first year at Ohio State an uphill climb.
