This seems to have eluded most of the major media because it looks like there was no official announcement, but Northern Michigan junior defenseman Erik Gustafsson signed with the Philadelphia Flyers
and has been assigned to their AHL affiliate. Gustafsson was a top defenseman in the CCHA all three years at Northern Michigan, and this year, was named the conference's top offensive defenseman.
