Prosser Signs with Wild

The Minnesota Wild have signed former Colorado College defenseman Nate Prosser. Not only is Prosser a former college hockey player, but he's also a native Minnesotan. Things have definitely changed down in St. Paul.

Because of his age, there's a lot of goofy rules about Prosser's contract. He's only signed through the end of the season, and isn't eligible to be shipped down to the AHL, meaning he'll stay with the big club through the end of the year, though it's unlikely he'll ever play in a game. He's basically getting paid $97,000 to go to a few morning skates and sit in NHL press boxes. There's tougher ways to make a living.
