Wellman to the Wild

PrintOne of the first(and maybe one of the only?) top free agents in this year's college class seems to have found a home in the pros. UMass forward Casey Wellman will sign with the Minnesota Wild and likely go straight to the NHL. He won't be eligible for the playoffs, but he'll get some NHL experience.
It's quite a change to see the Wild going after a top college free agent, and nice to see that Wellman will be making the jump so quickly.
