Thurber Suspended by School

Wisconsin sophomore Matt Thurber has been suspended indefinitely by the University of Wisconsin for violating the school's student-athlete disicipline policy.

It's not a huge blow to Wisconsin since Mike Eaves' recruiting has given him about a hundred different interchangeable parts on his third and fourth lines. Thurber had only played in 9 games this year, registering three assists.

Keep taking irresponsible low blows at the Wisconsin program, Mike Eaves, and recruiting. We’ll just keep winning.

“Keep winning”??

I guess making one out of the last three NCAA Tournaments — and the year they made it they were under .500 — is considered a successful run in Madison these days.

Funny dig coming from a CC fan…what have the Tigers ever won again since the 50’s? And yes considering that UW was basically the last team out of the tourney the 2 years they missed, I would not hold my head down in shame over that especially since basically 13 or 14 teams only make the tourney. While not the highlight of Badger hockey, the last 3 years are hardly aweful either.

That spelling is awful. j/p always gonna take shots at Comley and Eaves. When Minnesota and UM aren’t doing good its time to bring other teams down

Go back to USCHO or Badger Blogs last summer / this fall and they were essentially calling for Eaves’ head … revisionist history I guess?

“they were essentially calling for Eaves’ head” because some do, does not make it so for all much less correct.
