CCHA Modifies League Scoring

The CCHA announced today that all conference games will be worth three points, with a win counting as three points, a shootout win counting as 2 points, and a shootout loss counting as one point.

That's much more logical than last year's system where some games were only worth two points, while other games awarded three points. It would also seem to reward teams more for winning games in regulation, rather than holding on for a tie and taking their chances in a shootout.

Huzzah!

Big improvement over the old system, for the exact reasons you mention.
