Bowling Green Passes the Hat

Bowling Green announced a new fundraising program today that they hope will help put the hockey program on a more stable footing.

University president Carol Cartwright basically saying 'If you write us a check, we'll be sure to cash it', doesn't really seem like BG's administration is going above and beyond to save the hockey program,  but it's a step in the right direction, and far better than just giving up on it completely. Hopefully they can raise the funds they need, and perhaps more importantly, restore the program to the point where more money doesn't need to be raised again a couple years down the line.

With this quote from the article:

_"We are committed to hockey at BGSU," Cartwright said. "It is apparent that the hockey program is a treasured part of our history, and we have assured our former and current hockey players and the community that the program will continue."

"This campaign will be a top priority for me."_

I’m not sure I get your interpretation. I can tell you that the BGSU faithful are ready to jump on board and make this happen in a hurry.
