More Rumors About Gophers

A few eyebrows were raised yesterday when the Brandon Wheat Kings of the WHL traded for Minnesota's Aaron Ness. The Wheat Kings are hosting the Memorial Cup this year and technically, Brandon is about an hour closer to Ness' hometown of Roseau than it is to Minneosta's campus.

The good news for Minnesota fans is that Ness has never given any sort of indication that he'd be interested in leaving Minnesota. Most everyone I've talked to described this trade as "you never know what could happen" instead of Brandon already having something firm planned up. The Wheat Kings may make an effort, but I'd be surprised if Ness left Minnesota.
