Schroeder Sticking Around for Another Year

It's now being reported that Jordan Schroeder will definitely return to Minnesota next season, though it sounds like this year is almost definitely his last, which isn't altogether surprising.

The angle about Schroeder going to the WHL seemed a bit overblown. It was more of a fail-safe for the Canucks to give Schroeder an opportunity in training camp through the first ten games of the season to see if he could seriously contribute to the big club, and if they decided he couldn't, ship him to the kid's league so they didn't have to pay him as much money and keep him under their control for longer.
