I had speculated earlier this week that Chicago Steel defenseman Kevin Lind might be the next big recruit out there in college hockey after an impressive summer. Today, Chris Heisenberg is reporting that Lind committed to Notre Dame.

After their group of 2009 defensemen turned into a bit of a rough class with Cam Fowler backing out on his commitment to Notre Dame, and Sam Calabrese struggling last year, Notre Dame looks like they'll be loading up in 2010 with three huge, mobile defensemen in Lind, and Jarred Tinordi and Stephen Johns from the US NTDP program.
