New Commits
I'm way backed up on these. There's a lot to get to.
Thief River Falls goalie Zane Gothberg committed to North Dakota. No surprise there. He's a Sioux fan and has some family connection to the school, so it was kind of a matter of when, not if. He also becomes the first goalie from Thief River Falls to play for North Dakota and not believe in the tenets of national socialism.
'93 birthdate Jared Linnell committed to Alaska. He's originally from North Pole, which is right near Fairbanks, and his dad played at Fairbanks.
Forward Brian Ferlin committed to Cornell. He originally comes from Jacksonville, Florida.
Minnetonka high school defenseman Justin Holl committed to Minnesota.

Why are you not posting anythine new lately? Are you on vacation or is there just nothing new? You say you “are way backed up on these” yet nothing is getting posted hardly in the last week or two???

well
I just think that him saying that “he is way backed up on commits” means that he has a lot of other things to report, yet we are getting nothing new except for 3 new commits?? Not complaining, but curious. When he makes a comment like that, yet does not follow up, I think we have the right to question it.

I love what he does and no where was I complaining. If you read my first post on here I was only asking if he was on vacation or something since he said he was so backed up yet nothing new was being posted. Not once did I complain. I was only asking a question!
I agree with Chuck
southernmnscout, you may think you aren’t complaining but it certainly comes across that way. Big time. The guy does this for little to no pay. While I may not agree with everything he writes, I think he deserves to kick back at this time of year and take longer breaks if he chooses. You don’t pay a dime for what he does here so I think you should quit bellyaching and just be happy for what you get.

Maybe you should re-read my original post. ALL I DID WAS ASK IF HE WAS ON VACATION OR WHY THERE WAS NOTHING NEW WHEN HE SAYS HE WAS SO BACKED UP.

Ignore other people’s interpretation of the intent of your question. The interweb is full of people who attach their own emotional states onto statements (or questions in this case) made by others. They think they can divine your intent through the ether.
The proliferation of blogs on the college hockey landscape shows quite clearly that any hole in coverage will ultimately be picked up by someone else. If Chrissie was to quit tomorrow there’d be another weak blog picking up what he does within a week. Pretty much the same for ANY other blogger and/or mainstream media person.
Writing about hockey on a blog (or for that matter in a newspaper) is something anyone with an interest could do passably.
Big Time Commitments!!
C’mon Chris, you’re late on some real doozies!!
