Hastings Leaves Minnesota for UNO
It's being reported that Minnesota assistant coach Mike Hastings will leave Minnesota to become Dean Blais' top assistant at Nebraska-Omaha.
The move is a bit surprising, but Blais is 58 years old and has insinuated that he might only be around 4-5 years. Hastings is now set up to take over the head coaching role in Omaha whenver Blais retires.

Hill is next
John Hill is trying to politic his way into the recently vacated head coaching job at Sioux City in the USHL. That would be great for Gopher hockey! No John Hill on staff during Lucia ear at Minnesota = 2 National Championships. Hastings was smart enough to jump off the sinking ship and now Hill is trying too. Dean Blais will be the head coach at Minnesota in 2010 – 2011.

Lucia... expectedly... pissed.
It could probably have been assumed, but I’ve heard he hasn’t exactly moved on to the “wishing Mike the best” stage yet.

Lucia seems to go through a lot of assistant coaches.
