Youngstown Begins Building

It's a busy week for the USHL this week. Yesterday, the league held an expansion draft for the new Youngstown franchise, followed by the USHL Future's Draft, which will take place today at 3pm CST, and then the main USHL Draft tomorrow.

It looks like the Youngstown team will have a nice base with which to start working with. They picked up a couple quality defenseman in Nick Mattson, David Donnellan, and Jack Callahan. If they can add a top notch goalie through the draft or through their tryout, they could be competitive right away in the league.
