The OHL Priority Selection--what I like to call the Diritiest Day in Sports--takes place this Saturday.

The OHL has a preview show on  some of the top Canadian prospects.

This year, moreso than the past couple, it seems like fewer teams out west will be sweating which OHL teams will be drafting their prospects. Notre Dame recruit Robbie Russo is a nice player, but he'll likely go to the NTDP and stick with his commitment, which should make him a late round draft pick. Michigan State has a couple '93 commits, but they're likely later round picks anyway. I haven't heard anything about Bowling Green recruit Kyle Sucher.

Instead, it looks like there were will be a lot of eastern schools with a very vested interest in this year's draft. Forward Brandon Francisco is technically committed to Maine, but I don't think anybody honestly believes he'll ever end up there.

It's going to be a huge day for Harvard. They've got two recruits from Ontario, forward Zack Mitchell and defenseman Mark Luzar, that are highly rated and that OHL teams are really going to try hard to sign. Both reportedly seem pretty sincere in their commitments, but you never know.

UNH recruit Eric Chevrier and Cornell recruit Ben Thomsen are also likely to be drafted, but I don't think OHL teams will be giving them the full court press to sign at this point.

There's a couple other uncommitted Americans out there that should be picked. Floridian Colin Suellentrop, who has been playing for Detroit Compuware, is a big defenseman that some people have rated very highly.

Culver Academy goalie Matt Mahalak is considered one of the best goalies for his age group in the US,  and his older brother RJ plays for the Plymouth Whalers.

A lot of these US kids attended the US NTDP tryout camp, though at this point of the year, it's always difficult to figure out which players have been extended an offer, have accepted, and most importantly, signed the NTDP contract which includes a five figure fee if the player wants to leave the program to play elsewhere.
