New Commits

Colorado College got a commitment from Chicago Steel goalie Hudson Stremmel for next season. Stremmel is originally from Nevada and played for a Las Vegas AAA team before moving to the USHL He'll compete with Joe Howe, another goalie from the USHL, for playing time at CC next year. It's probably a smart idea by CC,since they're going to be unproven in goal. Odds are at least one will pan out.

California native Denny Brown committed to Western Michigan. It's nice to see Brown line up a college commitment. Last season, he got bumped off Lincoln's team to make room  for Lyon Messier, who rode his father's name through about 8 different teams last year. Brown will join the Broncos in 2010.

Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Travis Statchuk committed to Ohio State.

Scott Pavelski, brother of former Badger, Joe, committed to New Hampshire.
