No Vote from WCHA on Bemidji

Todd Milewski is reporting that the WCHA chose not to vote on Bemidji State's application to the WCHA during their league meeting yesterday in Florida. Instead, the WCHA will wait a little more and hope another team applies to join with Bemidji State.

I've complained before about the WCHA sticking their head in the sand on this issue for far too long and it's frustrating to see them stall once again, but perhaps this time it's a little more calculated. Nebraska-Omaha remains the most attractive option for a 12th team, and the most likely to sway the western outposts of the league into voting yes on expansion. UNO is currently searching for a new athletic director and that hire could have a huge impact on whether UNO sticks with the CCHA or wants to move to the WCHA.
