Dalton Signs with Boston

Bemidji State goalie Matt Dalton signed a free agent deal with the Boston Bruins. Dalton was a pretty highly-recruited goalie for the Beavers when he joined the team two years ago coming out of the USHL, and played well for the Beavers, but I doubt he would have received a pro offer like this if not for Bemidji's two victories in the Midwest regional this year.

In his freshman season, Dalton backed up goalie Matt Climie, who started three games for the Dallas Stars at the end of this season. His departure leaves BSU with a huge vacancy in goal. The Beavers will likely have to rely on incoming freshman Mathieu Dugas to handle the goaltending duties next year.
