Bozak Lands in Toronto

Sportsnet is reporting that Denver's Tyler Bozak will sign with the Toronto Maple Leafs, ending season-long speculation of which team he would sign a free agent contract with.

Next season will be an interesting one for Bozak. Top college free agents have long been sought after by NHL teams, but I don't think any college free agent has ever gotten the mainstream--mainstream for hockey, at least-- media attention that Bozak and BU's Matt Gilroy have received this year. Bozak is a fine addition to the Maple Leafs and should play a role in their rebuilding process, but it almost seems like expectations have been raised unreasonable high, to the point that he's probably going to be expected to do more next year than your average drafted NCAA player does after leaving school at the end of his sophomore season.
