Tickets Scarce for Tonight's HS Showdown
I said earlier today that walk-up ticket sales might be scarce for tonight's doubleheader with Bloomington Jefferson, Edina, Eden Prairie and Minnetonka, and apparently I wasn't wrong.
The Star-Tribune is estimating that only 2000 tickets will be available for walk-up sale starting at 5pm today. Tickets had gone on sale earlier this week at the four schools. That's pretty impressive that they're going to sell out a 10,000 seat arena well before the start of the first game.
Unfortunately, for those that aren't able to get a ticket, the game won't be shown on television(though you can listen online to the MN Sports Network or watch online at Myfoxhockey.com). Fox Sports North has tried to get these games on television, but they've met resistance from the Sections because of fear that televising the game may take away from ticket sales. Hopefully the insane amount of demand this year will take away those ridiculous concerns and these games can be televised next season.

What a cluster
Got to the rink at 5 pm. Waited in line for an hour to get tickets. We were lucky. Some people stood in line for much longer than that. Probably missed most of the first game.
First game was a dissapointment in that Jefferson didn’t show up. Edina certainly has a strong team.
Second game was much more entertaining.
