Olsen Chooses UMD

Chris Heisenberg is reporting that Minnesota-Duluth has picked up a commitment from Alberta defenseman Dylan Olsen. Olsen is a big defenseman that is projected to go very high in this summer's NHL Draft. he was rated 23rd among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting in their mid-term rankings.

Another big defenseman, the NTDP's Jarred Tinordi is going to Notre Dame. Tinordi started off the year as a bit of a project, but has great hockey bloodlines, as the son of former NHLer Mark Tinordi, and could develop into a great player.

Maine got a commitment from St. Thomas Academy Matt McNeeley. This seems a bit strange because McNeeley, a sophomore, is backing up teammate Kurt Altrichter at St. Thomas this year, but McNeeley is touted as one of the best in his age group. Perhaps the NTDP could be in his future next season.

Also going to Maine is Robin Bergman, who originally played half a season with Notre Dame, before heading back to the USHL.

Joey Rehkamp of Breck(Mn) committed to the Air Force. Rehkamp was always a bit undersized, but a tremendously fast and skilled player.

BCHL veteran Kevin Walrod committed to Michigan State.

Nebraska-Omaha picked up commits from Sioux Falls' Terry Broadhurst, and Michael Young out of Saskatchewan.

Central Scouting Rankings

Buddha fro Hockey Wilderness here… do you have a copy of the central scouting report, or a link for it? I have been looking for it all day, and all I can find are partial lists…

Thanks. Keep up the good work. I read every post!
