Fowler Likely Gone to OHL
A couple different people, Kyle Woodlief and the more credible Hockey News, are reporting that defenseman Cam Fowler has backed out of his commitment to Notre Dame to play for Windsor of the OHL next season.
Earlier this month, Fowler, in a very unofficial capacity, told Brian Cook of MGoBlog that "if my grades go good [sic] you'll see me on the ice next year." Apparently they did not go good.
Fowler is also eligible for the NHL Draft next year, and following Ethan Werek's logic, he'll get to showcase himself against weaker competition as opposed to trying to earn ice time at the NCAA-level.
This offseason becomes a little more precarious for Notre Dame now. Kyle Lawson, Ian Cole, and Teddy Ruth could all return to the Irish next year, but all three are NHL draft picks, and some combination could draw interest from their NHL clubs and leave school early.

Ian Cole in a Blue Note
maybe in 2-3 years.. Right now the Blues have plenty of defensive help, the only problem is staying healthy.

Ian Cole
There have been a few rumblings that the Blues may see if he wants to turn pro. But that probably would be predicated on them moving Eric Brewer or Jay McKee. Brewer is out with back surgery and McKee’s contract is big enough, he won’t be moved until next season’s trade deadline.
Blues brass are very high on him.
