The NAHL will be holding their first ever outdoor hockey game tonight between the Alaska Avalanche and Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Sarah Palin will be dropping the opening puck, fresh off her latest PR jaunt in which she's still telling us you really can see Russia from Alaska. As though our complaint with that was purely geographical.

The Avalanche aren't enjoying an overly successful season, but one shudders to think how bad it could have been had Palin not skipped out on a rumored appearance at a September 19th game against the US National Development Program U17 team. I'm sure the U17 team, which has already earned two international medals, thanks her for staying the hell away.
