Craig Smith Suspended an Additional Game

The WCHA has added an extra game suspension onto Craig Smith's game disqualification from last Saturday's game against Minnesota State.

I thought the WCHA might take some further action on the hit from behind. An extra game isn't a bad idea to highlight that stuff like that won't be tolerated. The good news for Wisconsin is that they have a non-conference series against New Hampshire next weekend, so Smith won't miss any WCHA games, and the Badgers will finally have the services of freshman Derek Lee, who couldn't play until he received clearance from the NCAA over an error on his transcript.
