ISS released their Top 30 Skaters for the 2010 NHL Draft list for the month of October. It's considerably better than some of the other lists out there recently, at least among the American kids. Names of note incldue: 11. Jon Merrill(Michigan), 15. Derek Forbort(North Dakota), 16. Riley Sheahan(Notre Dame), 23. Jarred Tinordi(Notre Dame), 24. Nick Bjugstad(Minnesota), and 26. Jason Zucker(Denver)
The World Jr. A Challenge is coming up this November in the land of Bud the Spud, and a lot of familiar names have been added to rosters for the event. Here is the US roster, comprised entirely of USHL players, except for Beau Bennett, who is having a very good year in the BCHL. Here is the Canada West roster and the roster for Canada East.
Dillon Simpson, son of former Michigan State star Craig, is playing well as a 16-year-old in the AJHL and is looking to play in the NCAA some day.

Is Jarred Tinordi the son of Mark? The Caps sure have a penchant for the bloodlines. They could end up with another Tinordi and another Bondra after the 2010 draft (not that I’m hoping for that; they seem to overvalue the guys with famous names).
