Moffatt Commits to Michigan

Detroit Compuware forward Luke Moffatt met with Michigan coach Red Berenson last night and verbally committed to the University of Michigan.

Moffatt originally hails from the Phoenix-area, and is considered the best 1992-born forward in the United States. Moffatt has already accepted an offer to play for the NTDP next season, where he will play for two years before joining the Wolverines.

Earlier this past summer, Moffatt was selected second overall by the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL bantam draft, but ended up opting to go the NCAA route.

Moffatt had offers from many schools including Boston College, Maine, Notre Dame, and Colorado College.

Here is an article from the Phoenix Coyotes website on Moffatt.

(After looking around the web, apparently The Scouting News was the first to report this, so credit goes to them.)
